Annuals grow, flower, set seed and die, all in the space of one year, while biennials grow in their first year and flower and set seed in their second year. There are lots of different types, including climbers, tall growing plants and others that are creeping or dwarf. Many are well-known native wildflowers such as poppies, cornflowers and foxgloves
Note 2021 - I am not sowing any seeds this year as I shall be moving house by the summer but may purchase a few Sweet Peas to flower before I go. Next year I plan to make more use of the small glasshouse and sow a much wider variety of annuals.
