South side of the greenhouse, a top path leads into The Woodland Garden. The first part is a clearing with two beds sloping away from the path for Japanese woodland plants. Small rustic steps separate these.
A clapper style gate will subdivide the area over which the path continues into the trees, with steps leading further down. To the left of the steps here, a small seated area is planned. This part of the Woodland is a habitat for native woodland plants.
There is also a lower path that is approached from the south side steps – this is hedged with crab apple and spindle, behind which the compost heaps are located.
